Knuckles, our beloved companion and house friend to many, had a close call last month. He was suddenly stricken with a spinal virus that rendered him paralyzed and in great pain. The attack is somewhat common to his breed.

We closed the Cafe (of course!) and rushed him to the vet. After hours of surgery he emerged dazed and sore but alive and soaking up the sympathy.

He is recovering at home and is being given physical therapy and lots of love.

His prognosis is good and in time he will be able to lead a happy and active livestyle.

We are taking donations at the Cafe to help cover the expenses of his surgery and medications (and extra treats).
